I’m pleased to note that three new poems of mine have been picked up for a forthcoming FutureCycle Poetry anthology entitled American Society: What Poets See. The financial and political crises (one crisis, really) addressed by the first two poems are ongoing, of course; the context for the third, “Opinions,” may feel like ancient history now, though Saddam was captured almost 8 years ago and we are still “winding down” our gruesome adventure in Iraq. I find it heartening that a publisher of poetry is willing to take on such subjects and look forward to seeing the finished collection.
