Welcome, Laura
A hearty Perpetual Bird hello to Laura Tedeschi, our newest Birder and a remarkable Italian expressionist painter. (She blogs as well, at nouvelles coleurs.) Laura, I’m sure, arrived here via William Michaelian’s blog, where you can see her colorful painting of William by scrolling down to find the image archive on his new home page.Read More

New Birder Alert
Our flock has grown by one new “follower,” Geoff Munsterman, who calls himself “a mama’s boy [who] doesn’t fear death.” (We’ll see, says the miniature crow ever perched upon my shoulder.) His blog is Swampland | Redemption–which leads me to wonder what significance we should read into a vertical slash, surely one of humankind’s most underused punctuation marks.Read More

A New Perpetual Birder…
I believe I forgot to mention that Hannah Stephenson recently became a follower of The Perpetual Bird. Hannah is a describer/imaginer/inventor whose work can be found on her blog, The Storialist. Hannah writes near-daily poems based on images she discovers on the Internet. It’s a fascinating project–a testament to both her creativity and her stamina.Read More

Welcome, Ce Howard
The latest “follower” to join The Perpetual Bird is also the last through the door for 2009. Her name is Ce Howard–and that’s all I know about her! I use “her,” by the way, because my cousin, the wonderful poet-editor-publisher Ce Rosenow is una chica.Read More

Bahar Physics
A hearty Welcome Aboard to “bahar physics,” who’s profile is non-published but whose blog followings suggest a science-minded physics major with a taste for the Humanities. Her (?) interest in The Perpetual Bird made me wonder how many physics poems are out there. The only one I can recall is Al Zolynas‘s The New Physics, from his 1979 collection of the same title, but a quick Google search has coughed up an intriguingly titled collection by John MacKenzie, Shaken by Physics; A.Read More

Kennings
Welcome to Ken Flett—who has joined this blog as a “follower” (I always put that in quotes because the term makes me nervous) and our second Ken, the first being Ken Ludwig. (They joined within days of each other. Significance?) Ken Flett arrives from Nova Scotia (or is it British Columbia? He seems to be in transition … but aren’t we all…) and runs a blog called Shaping Stones. You can find his eponymous artist’s Web site here.Read More
