Un-Effing-Believable! So now anyone who speculates on the genesis of a poem may find himself or herself on the wrong end of a lawsuit? Ridiculous. I’m with Michael Hansen, just waiting for “the lovely limited edition heading my way in the next few weeks,” coming from Richard Owens of Punch Press, who publishes a magazine called Damn the Caesars. How appropriate.
I don't see how Kent's intellectual adventure could do harm to the reputations of either Koch or O'Hara, just as the Oxford/Marlowe/Bacon speculations can't harm Shakespeare (whoever he was). This suit is all about money and control, is my guess. Not exactly the kind of motivation that makes for free-thinking criticism.
Joseph,

I, for one, won't make conjectures about sensitive issues like authorship unless I can produce about a dozen very reputable sources.

Or at least not bother about them at all. Best to leave these things to the academics.
