    It’s a brave thing to take on the mounting of a poetry festival in the United States. But there’s any state where such events can work, it’s Colorado. As a state Poet Laureate Emeritus and director of a creative writing program at University of Denver, I can attest to the fact that poetry is thriving from plains to mountains to every high country valley on the map.
