Carrie Printz, who teaches in the Professional Creative Writing Program I direct at the University of Denver’s University College, has a new play called, tantalizingly, Fractured Moonlight. A reading of her new play is coming up on Saturday, August 5, at 2:30 p.m. at The Vintage Theatre in Aurora. Tickets are just $5. It’s part of the Vintage’s new play festival, which will feature readings of 6 plays during that weekend.
For those who have not been to a staged reading before–it is a directed, rehearsed performance of the play that does not include props, costumes, blocking, etc. It gives everyone involved a chance to hear the play read “on its feet” to have a better idea of which elements work and which ones need improvement.
If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to be involved in the evolution of a live stage play, here’s your chance!
