The Rijksmuseum in Holland had an idea: Let’s bring the art to the people and then, hopefully, they will come to see more—at the museum.
They took Rembrandt’s 1642 painting “Night Watch”,* brought the characters in it to life, and placed them in a busy shopping mall. The results are here to see:

* “Night Watch” is a name the painting had acquired because dirt and layers of varnish had darkened the canvas. It wasn’t until it was restored after WWII that the painting’s daytime setting became clear.
