    I’m excited to be joining so many fantastic poets in Crestone! The full festival runs Thursday through Sunday, February 21-24. Work commitments are keeping me from basking in the entire event and the many tantalizing workshops on offer. My particular workshop, on Saturday, February 23, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., is called The Music of What Happens: Exploring Soundscape.     I’ll be reading in beautiful downtown Fruita on what promises to be a beautiful Saturday to celebrate the first anniversary of Danny Rosen‘s Lithic Bookstore & Gallery. The store (saith the Lithic website) “offers a fantastic selection of books, art, handmade goods and other curiosities” and is located upstairs “in the old bank building.” This is a kind of poetic justice, since I once worked in a considerably bigger bank building in downtown Denver back in the mid-1980s, writing marketing materials and video scripts. Poetry was banned but I stole a few hours here and there to write it anyway.Read More
