Let’s Have Some Fun in Crestone!
I’m excited to be joining so many fantastic poets in Crestone! The full festival runs Thursday through Sunday, February 21-24. Work commitments are keeping me from basking in the entire event and the many tantalizing workshops on offer. My particular workshop, on Saturday, February 23, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., is called The Music of What Happens: Exploring Soundscape. Joseph Hutchison, Colorado Poet Laureate 2014-2018, has published 17 books, including a translation of flash fictions by Mexican author Miguel Lupián, and co-edited two anthologies. He lives in the mountains southwest of Denver, Colorado, the city where he was born. He teaches at the University of Denver's University College, where he currently directs two programs: Arts & Culture and Global Affairs.
