    I didn&#39;t make it to Bly&#39;s recent reading, though I do have the book &quot;Stealing Sugar from the Castle,&quot; and, well, over the years I&#39;ve gathered probably 90 percent of the books Bly has published. Someday, somebody will do a study of Bly&#39;s work that looks at the major phases—I count three, maybe four—culminating in the late poems that for my money are as fine as anything produced by any American poet since Whitman.
