    Joseph,<br /><br />I used to follow &quot;Scarriet&quot;, too and dropped it for precisely the same reason. Something in the guy&#39;s irksome defense of none but his own poetics that made it necessary to shut the door to a site with real potential for growth.<br /><br />I like to cite Eliot in discussions like these: Critic&#39;s job is to elucidate: the reader will then make up their own mind.
