A “Friends Help Friends Write” Reading
Some of you already know that I am directing a new Master of Arts program at the University of Denver’s University College called Professional Creative Writing. The word “professional” simply means that students aim to learn not just about writing but about the publishing ecosystem, with an eye toward earning at least some of their income within that ecosystem. Self-enrichment, yes—but with readers in mind. The program launches officially this summer, and we’re introducing it with a “Friends Help Friends Write” Open House on Tuesday, April 11th, from 6 to 8 p.m. on the D.U. campus. The event is free, and there’ll be food and readings of both poetry and prose by members of the Professional Creative Writing faculty. Please click here to RSVP so we have enough snacks for everybody. Please pass this information along to anyone you think may be interested in learning more about this new program.
