Three examples of my friend John Ransom making me look good! |
Our excellent friends John Ransom and Barbara Mastej comprise two-thirds of the artists showing at Venice, California’s historic Cadillac Hotel. See John’s galleries here and Barb’s here. Don’t miss the opening if you’re in the area!
I should note that John did the cover artwork for my collection Bed of Coals, artwork and book design for my chapbook The Heart Inside the Heart, and the cover illustration for another of my chapbooks, Sentences.
THE CADILLAC HOTEL
presents Venice artists
John Ransom • Barbara Mastej • Drew Dunlap
Since 1914, the brick and mortar of the Cadillac Hotel has absorbed the echoes of travelers both famous and unknown. Listen and you may hear the footsteps of The Little Tramp or catch a glimpse of a woolen-clad beachgoer. Across the street at 7 Dudley, a faint beat of bongos and ecstatic verse hangs upon the breezes. The rich, artistic tapestry of this small corner of Venice continues to unfold. Come share this brief moment in its history.
Opening reception Thursday, January 19th, 6pm – 10pm
8 Dudley Avenue (at Ocean Front Walk)
