    [I put this comment over in your comment stream, too]<br /><br />I don&#39;t know how I missed your review of Hennen&#39;s book, Lyle. It&#39;s a fine one! What&#39;s interesting is that everyone who writes about it cites different poems to make similar points. It&#39;s one reason I love a collected poems: the work has a chance to speak to the broadest possible audience. I think of Stafford&#39;s

    Joseph, I also just recently read <i>Darkness Sticks to Everything</i>, and loved it. In my case, I&#39;d first read Hennen&#39;s work back in the 1970&#39;s shortly after his first book came out, and was delighted to see that a Collected Poems of his had been published.<br /><br />I made some of the same observations you&#39;ve given here about his poems: his attention to detail, his quiet humor
