    So, BAJ … are you suggesting that "closure" can in fact result in "openness"? I.e., by inspiring debate, or at least <I>meditation?</I> Not an unworthy thing….

    Stafford’s conclusions in <BR/>"The Little Ways . . ." <BR/>are debatable, but not<BR/>ignorable.

    these poems have me thinking of one of the main drawbacks of silliman’s problem with closed form–calling a poem ‘closed’ and assuming you’re smarter than it is leaves you unable to appreciate all superior kinds of irony–and if you can’t appreciate irony then stafford (and FROST) have a lot less to offer.<BR/><BR/>these are good poems.
