New Perpetual Birders tend to sneak up on this little expedition, hanging out on the margins—quiet types, mostly. So I sometimes don’t know how long they’ve been in attendance until I realize our population number has changed. It’s up by two just in the past week or so.
Zaina Anwar is a “self-taught painter and poet” (I can’t speak for painters, but as for poets—aren’t we all?) who blogs at the remarkable Indigenous Dialogues.
Jim Murdoch is a Scottish poet and fiction writer who, he says, “began late in life” but nevertheless has enough energy to be putting the finishing touches on his fifth novel. He writes at the wonderfully-titled blog The Truth About Lies, which he promises will include “no articles about how cute my pets are or recipes for haggis or long meanderings through my childhood.” (How refreshing!) And I recommend a visit to his Web site for links to his work all over the Web.
Welcome, Zaina and Jim!
Awww, thanks for the introduction, Joseph. I'm really enjoying your poetry here 🙂
