Ron Silliman tops his best in his latest blog post, in which he turns the smarmy politicking at Oxford into another intellectually dishonest brief against his fantasy nemesis, the School of Quietude. It’s fun, I admit, watching Captain Ron attempting to turn his horror over the political nature of the Padel-Walcott affair to his own poe(li)tical advantage. On the other hand, it’s sad to see him turning into PoBiz’s own Ann Coulter. I suppose his sequel to The Alphabet will be something along the lines of Guilty: SoQ’s and Their Assault on Poetry.
and again he shows himself to be the clownfish in the school of resentment.
Amen from your choir.
