How good to see an outpouring of support for Joanne’s good work! As Jim says above, “She’s a treasure.”

One of the finest storytellers I’ve ever met, not to mention one heck of a kind and curious woman. I’ll be sure to get the new book! I was just thinking of Joanne recently, so glad to hear there’s a new book out. Thanks, Joe.

Joanne taught our son and daughter mythology at Ralston Elementary School 40+ years ago, She taught a fun course at OLLI West about words and their origins a couple years ago. She’s a treasure.

I read In This Sign a few years ago and wondered how it could not be counted as one of the important American novels. An extraordinary writer, our own, and so under-appreciated. Thanks for this!
