It may be just end-of-year fogginess, but I have been searching for—and failing to find—current statistics on how many writers, by genre, graduate from America’s 300-plus graduate writing programs each year. Have any of you Birders run across these numbers? If so, please drop a link into the comment stream. Thanks!
I think the information is there but the institutions that gather it prefer not to publish it in any kind of aggregate form. I wonder why….

I didn't do anything like an exhaustive search, just the most obvious search terms, "creative writing MFA graduation statistics," two or three phrases like that (without using the quote marks in the search window).
